Refund policy

Due to the limited nature of our monthly collections, we strongly encourage customers to review all product details carefully before completing their purchase, as sold-out pieces are often unable to be replaced.

At Messy Studios, every piece is handmade in small batches using carefully selected materials and produced in limited quantities. Many of our collections consist of only one to four pieces per colourway, with some designs created as one-of-one items.

Because every item is made individually and many products cannot be replaced once sold, all purchases are considered final.

Returns

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect colour, style, or product selection
  • Failure to read the product description or measurements before purchasing
  • Normal characteristics of handmade products, including slight variations in stitch, texture, shape, or size

Please read each product description, measurements, material information, and care instructions carefully before placing your order. If you have any questions, we are always happy to help before you purchase.


Exchanges

Messy Studios does not offer exchanges.

Our collections are intentionally produced in limited numbers, making replacement items unavailable in most cases. Allowing exchanges would reduce the availability of future collections and compromise the exclusivity of our small-batch releases.

This applies to all products, including:

  • One of One Collection
  • Sample Sale pieces
  • Seasonal collections
  • Limited edition releases
  • Made-to-order items

Refunds

Refunds are only available in the following circumstances:

  • A duplicate payment has been processed for the same order.
  • A payment processing error results in multiple successful charges for a single purchase.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 14 business days.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect product, colour, or style selection
  • Failure to read product descriptions or measurements
  • Handmade variations that are not faults
  • Failure to collect a parcel within the courier's collection period

Incorrect or Damaged Orders

Every order is carefully inspected before leaving our studio.

If you receive the incorrect item or your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing messystudio.info@gmail.com.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of both the item and its packaging

Once we have reviewed your claim, we will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.


Uncollected Parcels

Customers are responsible for collecting their parcel within the timeframe provided by the selected courier or collection service.

If an order is returned to Messy Studios because it was:

  • Not collected,
  • The delivery address supplied was incorrect, or
  • Delivery could not be completed due to customer-related reasons,

Only the value of the product(s) will be refunded.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable, as these charges have already been paid to the courier.

If you would like your parcel shipped again after it has been returned, a new shipping fee will be required before the order can be resent.


Handmade Products

Every Messy Studios piece is handcrafted by a single maker.

Small variations in stitch, texture, measurements, colour placement, or overall appearance are a natural part of the handmade process and make every item unique. These characteristics are not considered defects and are part of what makes each piece one of a kind.
