When the temperatures drop, so do our Melange collections.

Made from a carefully blended mix of acrylic and wool fibres, Melange yarn is softer, warmer, and noticeably chunkier than our everyday yarns. Its beautifully heathered finish creates subtle depth and texture, giving every handmade piece a cosy, elevated look.

Unlike our year-round collections, Melange yarn is seasonal and is only used for our winter releases. Due to its limited availability, most Melange products are offered on a pre-order basis, allowing us to carefully source the yarn before creating your piece.

The Feel

Seasonal Collection

Melange yarn is exclusively reserved for our Soft Armour: Winter Edit collection.

As this yarn is not consistently available throughout the year, most products are made to order during the winter season. Pre-ordering allows us to secure the required yarn before beginning production while reducing unnecessary waste.

Once winter ends, Melange products may not return until the following season.

Pricing

Our Melange collection is priced between R250 and R500.

Pricing is determined by several factors, including:

The time taken to complete each handmade piece
The limited availability of the yarn

Although Melange yarn is chunkier and works up faster than finer yarns, it is considerably more expensive to source and is only available in limited quantities during the winter season. This premium fibre, combined with the handcrafted nature of every piece, is reflected in the final price.

To preserve the softness and texture of your Melange piece, we recommend gentle care.

Hand wash only in cool water
Use a mild wool-safe detergent
Do not machine wash
Do not tumble dry
Gently reshape while damp
Lay flat to dry away from direct heat

Machine washing can affect the texture of the yarn, causing the fibres to lose their soft, fluffy finish.
